CHARACTERS

“Thunderbolt” Ross (William
Hurt). Ross is an adversary of the Hulk and father to Betty Ross.
Most recently, he spearheaded the U.N.’s efforts to oversee the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War (2016).
Betty
Ross (Liv Tyler). We haven’t
seen Betty, Hulk’s former love interest, since The Incredible Hulk (2008).
Dr.
Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake
Nelson). Dr. Sterns was last seen in The Incredible Hulk, mutating after being exposed to Hulk’s blood.
Emil
Blonsky/Abomination (Tim Roth). Abomination
was defeated by Hulk and handed over to S.H.I.E.L.D.
back in the day.
THOR
CHARACTERS

Jane
Foster, Darcy, and Ian (Natalie
Portman, Kat Dennings, and Jonathan Howard). Jane is a brilliant scientist and was
once Thor’s love interest until she was unceremoniously ushered out in Thor: Ragnarok (2017). Darcy and Ian are
her wacky assistants.
Dr.
Erik Selvig (Stellan
Skarsgård). Selvig collaborated with Jane and Thor for a while, but he
also spent time as a scientist for S.H.I.E.L.D. Under the influence of Loki’s
mind control, he helped set up the alien portal in The Avengers (2012).
Lady
Sif (Jaimie Alexander). We haven’t
spotted Thor’s friend Lady Sif since Thor:
The Dark World (2013); she was notably absent for the destruction of Asgard in Ragnarok.

Korg (Taika Waititi). Korg is a rock-like alien who
befriended Thor and came aboard the Asgardian refugee ship in Ragnarok. He apparently escaped with
Valkyrie before Thanos attacked, but we don’t know if he survived the snap.
The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). The quirky Grandmaster (who, by the
way, is the Collector’s brother) was left in shambles on Sakaar after his attempt to imprison Thor backfired.
CAPTAIN
AMERICA CHARACTERS

Johann Schmidt/Red Skull (Hugo Weaving, Ross Marquand). Red Skull is
a classic enemy of Captain America who accidentally teleported deep into space
at the end of Captain America: The First
Avenger (2011). He reappeared in Avengers:
Infinity War (2018) on the planet Vormir,
where he had been tasked with guarding one of the Infinity Stones. Thanos took the Stone, and we have no clue if
Red Skull survived the snap or not.
Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl). Zemo’s plan to split up the Avengers
in Civil War worked wonders, but he
still ended up in custody.

Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp). Sharon Carter is 1) an
ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, 2) sort of a love interest for Captain America, and 3) a
descendent of Steve’s love interest from the 40’s, Peggy Carter. Weird? Most definitely. She showed up in Civil War long enough to kiss Steve, and
that’s about it.
GUARDIANS
OF THE GALAXY CHARACTERS

Kraglin
(Sean Gunn). We last saw
the Ravager (space outlaw) and Guardian-ally Kraglin just after the funeral of Yondu, another friend of the Guardians.
Kraglin was training with Yondu’s lethal
arrow, which is mind-controlled with whistle commands.
Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki). Ayesha is the leader of the Sovereign, an alien race at odds
with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
She was last seen plotting her revenge against the team, which involved the
creation of a new weapon called “Adam”
– likely intended to become the comic book character Adam Warlock.
ANT-MAN
CHARACTERS

Luis, Kurt, Dave (Micahel Peña, David Dastmalchian, T.I.). Luis and
Ant-Man’s other pals work with him at X-Con
Security Consultants.
Cassie and Maggie Lang,
Jim Paxton (Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy
Greer, Bobby Cannavale). Cassie is Ant-Man’s daughter, Maggie is his ex-wife, and
Jim is Maggie’s current fiancé.
Ava Starr/Ghost, Bill Foster (Hannah John-Kamen, Laurence Fishburne). Ghost relies
on Quantum healing particles to stabilize her intangibility; all her villainous
activity in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2019)
was perpetrated to obtain them. She has only survived so far with the help of
scientist Bill Foster, who once worked with Hank Pym.
Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins). Burch was arrested after trying to
steal Hank Pym’s Quantum technology in Ant-Man
and the Wasp.
DOCTOR
STRANGE CHARACTERS

Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams). Palmer is Doctor Strange’s love
interest and a skilled surgeon.
Dormammu (Benedict Cumberbatch). We last saw Dormammu in the Dark Dimension, left with a bruised ego
after his first scuffle with Doctor Strange.
Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Eijofor). Mordo used to be
Strange’s friend, but he turned against him at the end of Doctor Strange (2016).
SPIDER-MAN
CHARACTERS

Aunt May (Marisa Tomei). Spider-Man’s Aunt May may or may not
be alive, but she’s set to appear in Spider-Man:
Far From Home (2019) one way or another.
Michelle Jones (Zendaya). M.J. is Spider-Man’s soon-to-be love
interest—who’s also scheduled for Far
From Home this July.
Ned Leeds, Flash Thompson, Liz Toomes (Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier). Last seen
at the beginning of Infinity War, Ned
is Spider-Man’s best buddy. Flash, one of Peter’s schoolmates, and Liz, Peter’s
former love interest and the daughter of Adrian Toomes/the Vulture, last
appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017).
All three are set for Far From Home.
Adrian Toomes/the Vulture, Mac Gargan,
Prowler (Michael
Keaton, Michael Mando, Donald Glover). The Vulture wore an alien-tech
wingsuit to fight Spider-Man in Homecoming…
and landed himself in prison, along with another criminal named Mac Gargan. The
Prowler was last spotted on the outside after a run-in with Spider-Man.
BLACK
PANTHER CHARACTERS

Nakia, Ramonda (Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett). Nakia is
T’Challa’s love interest and a Wakandan spy, but she was nowhere to be found in
Infinity War. Ramonda, the royal
mother, was also missing.
Everett Ross (Martin Freeman). Ross is a CIA agent who dealt with
the Avengers in Civil War. Most
recently, he helped T’Challa regain his throne in Black Panther (2018).
W’Kabi (Daniel Kaluuya). Although he was once T’Challa’s
friend, W’Kabi committed treason in Black
Panther, so he’s probably in some kind of prison if he’s alive.
CAPTAIN
MARVEL CHARACTERS

Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Talos is a leader of the Skrulls, an alien race at war with
another race called the Kree.
(Skrulls, for the record, look like goblins and have the ability to
shapeshift.) Talos was last seen in the 90s, heading off into space to search
for a new Skrull homeworld with Carol Danvers.
Maria Rambeau, Monica Rambeau (Lashana Lynch, Akira Akbar). Maria is
Carol’s best friend and a fellow Air Force pilot, and Monica is her daughter.
We last saw them in Captain Marvel
(2019), where they helped Carol fend off the Kree in the 90s.
Goose. Carol’s cat
Goose is actually not a cat—it’s a deadly alien called a Flerken that looks like a
cat. We last saw Goose with Nick Fury in the 90s, hanging out at S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Supreme Intelligence (Annette Bening). The Supreme Intelligence is an A.I.
that commands the Kree. We know that Captain Marvel declared her intentions to
go to the Kree homeworld, Hala, and
defeat the Intelligence, but we don’t know if she ever made good on that
promise in the 20 or so years between Captain
Marvel and Infinity War.
Yon-Rogg, Bron-Char, Att-Lass (Jude Law, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto). These Kree
warriors were part of an elite squad known as the Kree Starforce. Captain Marvel resoundingly defeated them back in the
90s, but they weren’t killed.
MISCELLANEOUS
CHARACTERS

Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). Coulson was a friendly S.H.I.E.L.D.
agent in the early Marvel movies. He may have died tragically in The Avengers, but technically he was resurrected in a Marvel TV show.
Justin
Hammer (Sam
Rockwell). Justin landed himself in prison for his criminal activity
in Iron Man 2 (2010).
Dead
people. Virtually everyone else of significance who does not appear
on this list—including a lot of villains—died before the events of Infinity War.
